A Glossier, Drunk Elephant, & Rodin Wishlist

Happy last fri-yay of the month! I'm always looking for new beauty and skincare products to try. I really want to try products from Glossier, Drunk Elephant and Rodin. I picked five products from each brand that I'm anxious to try out and wrote a little summary about them and why I want try them out. Check my picks below.
Glossier Boy Brow - This brow gel claims to be a all-in-one brow fluffer, filler, and shaper. On a lazy day when I don't feel like taking the extra effort to do my whole brow routine I think this would be a great alternative. The creamy wax formula claims to provide a soft and flexible hold that doesn't flake.

Glossier Balm Dotcom - This multipurpose lip and skin salve is packed with antioxidants and natural emollients that are supposed to nourish and repair dry or chafed skin. I really like the birthday balm because of the subtle simmer it would give my lips.

Glossier Priming Moisturizer - I love a good primer it makes the makeup application process so much easier. This primer claims to visibly plump skin and moisturize while minimizing the appearance of pores. Its appropriate for all skin types and is supposed to even skin tone and leave your skin with a dewy finish.

Glossier Cloud Pain - I love the packaging of this blush. This gel cream formula is designed to be a easy to use cheek color that you can simply dad onto your cheeks. I like that the blush is sheer and buildable, you can add as little or as much as you like.

Glossier Soothing Face Mist - Made with roses and aloe this face mist is supposed to help soothe, hydrate and leave you skin feeling fresh and awake. The mist can also be used to refresh your makeup.

Drunk Elephant Shaba Complex Eye Serum - Shaba complex contains black tea ferment and copper peptides that are meant to work together to give a firmer looking appearance around the eyes. As I have gotten older I've noticed the skin under my eyes getting darker and maybe a little thiner, I'm hoping this eye serum will help with that. You gently apply the product under and around your eyes to help you look more youthful and radiant.

Drunk Elephant T.L.C. Sukari Babyfacial - This at home facial product thats meant to be used once a week contains 25% AHA and 2% BHA. The combination of acids exfoliates your skin to improve skin texture and tone.  The product is appropriate for all skin types and claims to dramatically smooth texture, minimize fine lines, wrinkles, and pores. I'm hoping this product can help smooth away my large pores around my nose area.

Drunk Elephant Virgin Marula Luxury Facial Oil - I love a good facial oil, this cold-pressed oil is packed with vitamins and antioxidants to help to moisturize and nourish skin. You can add the oil to your face, neck, or any place on your body to increase moisture with out any greasy residue. I'm hoping this oil can help with my extra dry skin.

Drunk Elephant T.L.C. Framboss Glycolic Night Serum - With 12% AHA/BHA this night serum is supposed to refine and resurface skin to help reveal smoother and more radiant complexion. The product claims it removes dead skin cells with its blend of formulated acids and extracts. You apply at night to clean and dry face, neck, chest, and backs or hands.

Drunk Elephant Lippe Balm - This moisturizing and volumizing lip balm is supposed to help nourish your lips to give them a plumper look. I'm a sucker for lip products, I like that its formulated with avacado, cranberry and marula oils. I tend to have dry lips so anything that claims to replenish, hydrate, and soften my lips is right up my alley.

Rodin Lip Balm - This all natural and sheer lip balm combines jasmine, orange flower oil, shea butter, beeswax, and castor seed oil. I love the lucite square compact packing of this Rodin product (its literally the main reason I want it). The lip balm claims to make your your lips look smoother and more supple, two things I love!

Rodin Lipstick "Billie On The Nike" - I also love the packing of this lipstick, I want to collect all five shades! This creamy and matte lipstick in infused with the same oil blends found in the Rodin skincare products.

Rodin Facial Cleansing Powder - Probably the most unique product in this whole wishlist is this cleansing powder. This water activated powder that contains granular rice bran, sea algae, jasmine and neroli oil gently exfoliates for softer skin. Instructions say to pour a small amount of the powder into your damp palms, lather, massage over face, and then rinse. Suitable for all skin types the cleanser claims to smooth your complexion and improve elasticity. I super curious to try out this cleanser it looks like it would be interesting to use.

Rodin Lavender Body Oil - Made from the stem and flower of lavender, this body oil blend says to offer calming olfactive skincare benefits. I love the soothing effects of lavender I think this oil would be best used after taking a shower at night right before bed, to help lull you to sleep.

My Favorite Bags For Fall 2017

Fall officially starts on Friday! I'm so happy for the leaves to change and the weather to get cooler. One of the easiest ways to change up your wardrobe for fall is to switch up your bag. I'm loving the faux fur, structured, saddle, and burgundy bag trends for fall. To help kick start the week I picked ten bags for fall that I think are perfect for the season change.

New from Mansur Gavriel for fall 2017 is the circle bag. The bag is made of calf leather and has a suede interior. I love that the bag has a detachable shoulder strap and has a zip closure. The Prada Cahier bag is part of the pre-fall 2017 collection. I absolutely love the velvet leopard print and the gold-tone hardware.

I love all things J.W. Anderson. This Pierce hobo in this army-green shade is perfect for fall. The bag is made of suede and features J.W. Anderson's signature gold barbell. This Mango faux fur bag features different colored fur panels, a detachable strap, and a metal clip closure. This bag is super unique and has a great price point.

Another bag from the fall 2017 Mansur Gavriel collection is the saddle bag. The bag is made of calf leather, features two interior pockets and has a canvas interior. The saddle bag also has an adjustable strap and gold-tone turnlock closure. I'm loving this BP. metal handle satchel. Fall Decor Pieces That I'm Currently Loving

Fall is in the air! To prep for the season change thats a week away I picked some fall decor pieces that I'm currently loving.  I love decorating for the seasons and holidays, for me fall marks the start of my favorite time of the year.

I love to have a new wreath to decorate my door whenever season changes. For fall I liking wreaths that feature twigs, pumpkins, leaves and colors of fall. These fall wreaths are super cute and festive.

I had to include these five random fall pieces that I have to have. The marble owl would look so good on a kitchen counter, the Autumn days bucket would be great for storing your fall essentials. The happy fall marble sign would be cute on a fireplace mantle. The nest pumpkin candle will make any room smell like fall. I'm loving these leaf shaped plates, they are great for serving holiday treats.

August Favorites

Hair Care, Skin Care, & Makeup

Tresemme Shampoo & Conditioner
I usually wash my hair once a week and I'm always looking for shampoo and conditioner combos that give my hair a deep clean. This Tresemme duo has been a game changer for me I love the way the products smell and how they make my hair feel.

NYX Doll Eye Mascara
When I used this mascara for the first time I had high hopes, but after using it a couple times I hated that it clumped up my lashes. I realized that for my short stubby lashes this mascara would be best used as a secondary mascara. To make this work I first use the Mary Kay lash love mascara to give my lashes length and separation, then I use the NYX mascara to add tones of volume. This mascara does a great job of giving you that false lash look.

I've been loving sheet mask lately, this month I tried the Garnier moisture bomb sheet mask. For such an inexpensive mask this sure packs a punch. The mask left my skin feeling smooth and hydrated. Its great to use when your skin is feeling really dry and dull.

Elf Cosmetics Lip Laquer
While this lipgloss won't leave your lips super hydrated this Elf lip laquer is great for adding a some shine to your lips. I like to use it on top of a tinted lip balm or a lip stain.

Design Essentials Peppermint & Aloe Scalp Tonic
I was looking for a non-oily but moisturizing product that I could put on my scalp under my extensions to help relieve itchiness and maintain the health of my hair. The design essentials tonic contains peppermint and aloe that helps soothe my scalp, I love the tingly sensation it gives. This has been a definite game changer in my hair care routine.

Elf Cosmetics Tinted Lip Balm Berry Sweet | Smoothy Spice
For the past couple of months I've been obsessed with Elf lip products. You can't beat the Elf price point, so it makes easy to take the plunge and buy their products. I gave these tinted balms a try and was happily impressed. The balms add a little color to my lips while also giving some moisture.

Movies and Music
Gigi
Gigi is a 1958 musical-romance starring Leslie Caron, Maurice Chevalier, and Louis Jourdan. Gigi takes place in the turn of the century Paris where a rich Playboy and a young coming of age girl enjoy a platonic relationship but as she grows older they both begin to fall in love with each other. Maurice Chevalier who plays Gaston the super handsome Parisian boyfriend I wish I had. Leslie Caron plays the title character Gigi, Caron who in real life was much older than the character she portrayed did an amazing job playing this joyful and stubborn Gigi. Louis Jourdan does an amazing job playing Henri, the Parisian uncle that I have always wanted. I loved Gigi's attitude through out the movie, she knew who she was as a person and tried her best to never waiver from it. The ending of this movie will have you cheering for joy and the soundtrack will be stuck in your head for days.

Tophat is a 1935 comedy-musical starring Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers. Astaire plays an American dancer, named Jerry Travers, who instantly falls in love with Ginger Rogers character Dale Tremont. After watching this movie I really want a Tophat themed wedding ☺️.
