October Wishlist

A new month a new wishlist! I love all things October, the leaves are falling, cooler weather, all things pumpkin, and halloween. I picked ten things that I'm hoping to buy this month, if your like me you have a never ending wishlist so picking just ten things was a real struggle.

1. Soap & Glory peaches And Clean Deep Cleansing Milk
I've been obsessing over Soap & Glory recently (I love the smoothie star body spray). This facial cleanser is supposed to melt away makeup and dirt, unclog pores, clarify, revitalize, and soften skin. Leaving your skin luminous and radiant.

2. Shea Moisture Sensitive Skin Mud Mask
I love all things Shea Moisture, this sensitive skin mud mask contains rose oil complex and shea butter. The mask is supposed deeply purify and smooth skin.
This extra large beauty sponge from Real Techniques has rounded sides to blend the larger sections of your face. The tip and flat edges are great for contouring and covering blemishes.

I love these flats, I think the elastic straps around the ankle are super cute. They would go perfect with a dress, leggings, or skinny jeans.
5. Micheal Michael Kors Shelby Satchel
I love the boxy shape of the Shelby satchel. The bag is made of leather, features gold tone hardware, zip closure, 1 interior zip pocket, and 5 interior slip pockets.

6. Philosophy Purity Cleanser
I've heard such good things about the purity cleanser from Philosophy. This cleanser is for all skin types, it melts away dirt, oil and makeup.
The hype for Fenty beauty is real and I've gladly fallen victim tp it 😁. I have heard really good things about the foundation brush and how it makes applying your foundation super easy. Every review I've read or watched on the soft matte foundation talk about the great finish the foundation leaves on your skin. I think my foundation shade is either 450 or 460.

I love jackets and coats, both are some of my favorite accessories for fall and winter. I'm loving this ASOS coat, the gray and pink combo are so perfect together.

9. Net-A-Porter Beauty On-The-Go Beauty Kit
This beauty kit is filled with 20 samples of hair, skin and makeup products. Some of the samples that intrigue me are the Eyeko eyebrow tinted brow gel, Orbie lip balm, and the Hourglass mineral veil primer.

10. Michael Michael Kors Floral-embellished Handbag Strap
Last on my list is the MK handbag strap, I love the bag strap trend I think they are the perfect way to make your bag unique to you. This leather strap is embellished with crystals and is meant to resemble a guitar strap.

September Favorites

September was my birthday month and the beginning of fall! Check the makeup, skincare, tech, music, movies, and television favorites that made my birthday month so much better.

Makeup & Skincare

Neutrogena Pink Grapefruit Oil Free Cleansing Wipes & Foaming Scrub
I've been loving this combo over the past month. The cleansing wipes do a great of job taking off all my makeup without leaving my face super dry.  The foaming scrub is contains microbeads that gently exfoliate the skin, the cleanser helps get rid of any breakouts I have and leaves my face soft.

Soap & Glory Smoothie Star Body Spray
I was looking for a simple body spray that I could throw in my bag and use when ever I felt I needed it. I came across the Soap & Glory smoothie star body spray on a weekly trip to Target. The smoothie star spray has warm notes of sweet almond and creamy vanilla with base notes of sandalwood and musk. This spray is great if you need a quick fragrance pick me up, unfortunately the smell of fragrance does not last long. You cant rely on it to be your daily fragrance that last all day. Despite this I still think its a great buy for the price.

Rimmel London Scandal Eyes Eyeshadow Sticks Black Betrayal | Bad Girl Bronze | Guilty Grey
I'm always looking for easier ways to apply my makeup. These shadow sticks from Rimmel are amazing, they are have great pigmentation, are easy to use, and are inexpensive. I simply apply the shadow stick color to my lids and use my fingers or a brush to blend it out.

E.L.F Cosmetics Pore Refining & Mask Brush | L'Oreal Paris Detox & Brighten Clay Mask
I'm obsessed with masking, so when I saw this E.L.F brush for masking I had to have it. The brush helps me evenly apply my mask, without all the mess I usually get when I use my fingers. I also love this L'Oreal Paris clay mask, the mask is super creamy and gives your face a tingling sensation after your apply it. I use the mask brush to apply it to my face, I leave it on for 10 or so minutes, and after I wash it  off my face is left velvety soft and supple.

Aveeno Active Naturals Skin Relief Body Wash
This fragrance free body wash from Aveeno has done wonders for my sensitive skin. Heavily fragranced body washes tend to dry me out really easily. A little goes a long way with this body wash and it leaves my skin clean and smooth.

L'Oreal Voluminous Lash Primer
I'm a true believer in the virtues of a eyelash primer, before my conversion I never saw the need for it. Now I can't apply mascara without applying a lash primer first. I have short stubby eyelashes so I need all the help I can get to lengthen and volumize them. I love that the primer helps separate and define my lashes so that when I apply my mascara I get the false eyelash look.

Tech
Jaybird Freedom Wireless Headphones
I've been wanting wireless headphones for the longest time. For my birthday I was kindly gifted these Jaybird Freedom's. Once you go wireless you can never go back to wired headphones. The freedom you have with wireless headphones is so great, they are perfect for working out, wearing at work,
or taking a walk.

Music, Movies, & Television

Rationale - Into the Blue
Rationale's new single Into the Blue comes before the release of his self titled debut album. I have featured Rationale on my monthly favorites over and over again, his music is so amazing! I've been listening to Into the Blue on constant repeat, I can't wait for the new album.

Sam Smith - Too Good At Goodbyes
After a really long hiatus the man, the myth, the legend that is Sam Smith is back to making music! His new single Too Good At Goodbyes is the lead single for his new album, The Thrill of It All,  that will be released on November 3rd. I think this is a quintessential Sam Smith song, it feels good to have him making music again 🤗. Tickets to his new tour go on sale on October 12th, I plan on buying mine and I can't wait to see him in concert

Miguel - Shockandawe
In one week Miguel surprised us with two new songs, Sky Walker and Shockandawe. I loveeee Miguel so anytime I see new music released by him I have to take a listen. Of the two new songs, Shockandawe is my absolute favorite. I like how different this song feels compared to his 2015 album Wild Heart. I can't wait to hear more from him!

Stronger
Stronger starring Jake Gyllenhaal and Tatiana Maslany, is true story about Jeff Bauman who lost both of his legs during the Boston Marathon bombings in 2013. Gyllenhaal and Maslany are amazing in this movie, they do a great job showing the raw emotion and struggle that surrounded these two people during such an traumatic event. Full review coming soon!

Mother!
Darren Aronofsky wrote and directed this "psychological thriller" about a relationship between a couple, played my Jennifer Lawrence & Javier Bardem, whose relationship is tested when uninvited guest come to their house. If you watched Mother! you either hated or loved it, I'm in the later branch and I'll explain why in my full review coming soon 😜.

Narcos Season 3
I've enjoyed every season of Narcos, season 2 ended with the death of Pablo Escobar and the rise of the Cali cartel. I really enjoyed the change of pace and characters for season 3. Because Narcos is so fascinating and shocking the show is a super easy binge. Watch all 3 seasons of Narcos on Netflix.
