Handbag Review: Furla Candy Bag with Leather

I've been eyeing the Furla Candy satchels for a while, so when I was in Dillard's recently and saw this beauty I had to have it! I was originally looking for the fully transparent rubber Candy satchel, so when I saw this version of the bag with the python embossed leather base I totally freaked :).

The bag is made of PVC in the color rosa, with tone on tone stitching, the Furla logo imprinted in the PVC on the side and features full grain calf leather detail on the bottom portion of the bag. On the exterior the bag features top-zip closure, with zipper pull and padlock with the Furla brand logo. The bag has double handles with light gold metal hardware and a flat base to provide upright structure. This version of the Candy satchel comes with an adjustable removable shoulder strap that has the same light gold metal hardware with the Furla brand name etched into the metal hooks. The interior of the bag is very roomy but also very minimal, there are no zip pockets or slip pockets. The bag has a height of 8 1/2 inches, length of 11 inches and a strap length of 15 1/2 inches.

I absolutely love the look of this bag, the semi-transparent feature is so cute and gives others a little sneak peek as to what is in your bag. At a weight of 2 lbs 7 oz the bag is little heavy, so when I load all of my stuff into the bag, lets just say that it feels like I'm carrying around a a small exercise weight, but its all worth it because I love this bag! (I suffer for fashion) It's the perfect spring/summer bag!

  1. Calfskin hides come from young cows. This type of leather is generally very soft and pliable, smooth, great for shoes, boots, and other similar leather applications as bonded leather.

  3. For the more "style conscious" customers, designer luggage ensures that they always come with a strong impression. Wherever part of the world they land on, the designer luggage screams "Fashionista" which is quickly adopted by the person who owns it. With this comes a price however.
