April Favorites

Makeup, skin care, and hair care favorites

I've never been one to use a face mask, but recently face mask have become my favorite step in my self pampering routine. This sheet mask from Sephora is super hydrating, smells good, and leaves my skin soft and luminous.

NYX is my favorite affordable makeup brand, they are constantly coming out with new and easy to use makeup items. This eyebrow kit has everything you need to tame your eyebrows. The kit comes with a brush and wand to shape and style your brows. Two different colored pressed powders that you can combine or use individually to fill in your brows. Plus a wax is included in the kit to help keep your brows in place.

I love lip oils, they give you the best of both worlds by giving your lips gloss and hydration. I really like the Burt's Bees lip oil formula, its not to sticky, plus you get the added benefit of it being 100% organic.

Carol's Daughter Mirabelle Plum Sulfate Free Shampoo and Replenishing Conditioner
I'm really love using this combo of products from Carol's Daughter. The Mirebelle Plum line smells really good and always leaves my hair soft and easy to detangle.

Fashion favorites

Ava & Viv High-Low Tee (sold out, similar here and here)
I love high-low hems in tops, they are so easy to wear and add a little bit of drama to any outfit your rocking.

Music and television favorites
The Leftovers is back for it's final season, I've obsessed over this show for awhile now and I'm so happy that its back. The Leftovers is a show that takes place in a world where 2% of the worlds population disappears without a trace and as you can image chaos ensues in so many different ways. The show is full of amazing and unique characters and always keeps you guessing. Watch all the seasons of The Leftovers on HBO.

I binged watched season 1 and 2 of Fargo earlier this year and became completely hooked. Fargo is an crime drama anthology series, every season has a completely different cast and tells a different story. There are small webs that do link the season's together but you definitely don't have to watch the first two season in order to enjoy the new season. I love the world of Fargo and all the craziness that occurs. Watch season 1 & 2 on Hulu and season 3 on fxnetworks.com

Big Little Lies is based on the best selling book by Liane Moriarty, the show stars Reese Witherspoon, Nicole Kidman, Laura Dern, Shailene Woodley and Alexander Skarsgard 😍. Big Little Lies takes place in the picturesque beachfront town of Monterey, California. The show has a lot #richpeopleproblems but underneath all of that it does an amazing job of depicting how people have so many layers to them and everything isn't as it seems. Nicole Kidman does an amazing job on this show, someone please hand her an Emmy now! Watch the entire season of  Big Little Lies on HBO.

I have a thing for sci-fi television shows and movies, The Expanse aires on the SyFy channel, the show takes place hundreds of years in the future where the U.N. controls Earth, Mars is colonized, and the asteroid belt is where air and water are harvested. The show depicts how fragile and dangerous the relationships between Earth, Mars and the asteroid belt are. The actors on the show are amazing and its so cool to get a glimpse of what the future might be like. You can watch season 1 on Amazon Prime video and watch season 2 on Syfy.com

Jaymes Young - Feel Something & Stoned On You
I fell in love with Jaymes Young music back when he released his 2014 EP Habits of My Heart. Jaymes is back with two new singles from his upcoming debut album, Feel Something. I'm loving these two new songs they make me super excited for the new album.

Joey Bada$$ first came on my radar when he played the character Leon on the show Mr. Robot. I really liked his character on the show and was super curious about his music. All-Amerikkkan Bada$$ is Joey Bada$$ second studio album, I love every song on the album, but my absolute favorites are For My People, Temptation, Y U Don't Love Me, Ring The Alarm,  and Babylon.

Bleachers is a indie pop band from New York. Don't Take The Money is a new single from their upcoming album, Gone Now. I love the feel of the song, I've been playing it on repeat constantly.
